Here in NY, we are currently forecasted for a huge snowstorm. So when I think of snow, snowmen making and sledding I think of a hot chocolate. Hot Chocolate is such a wonderful drink on a cold winters day.
When you are able to make your own you can keep your ingredients on hand and make it as needed. This is an easy recipe and you can have a large quantity of hot chocolate mix ready to serve in less than five minutes. I usually make a triple batch of this recipe, store it in a large airtight container and just refill the mason jar as needed. We were out most of today shoveling snow, so the hot chocolate mix took a beating and I already need to make a new batch to have on hand for next week.
